Canyon Storms Diane Moore

People on vacation hope for the perfect weather.  While at the Grand Canyon, I hoped for stormy weather.  The shadows and changing light allow for shading rather than the rocks being washed out by the sun.  Watching a storm slowly cross from west to east while I worked a shift at the Yavapai Geology Museum was a treat.  Seeing it snow in portions of the canyon, knowing you were watching a storm system that was 10 miles away was fascinating.  Having the sun poke through the clouds at sunset was unbelievably beautiful.  I hope you enjoy the stormy weather through a few of my many, many pictures.
